2015邯郸二模英语答案 2015年邯郸市高三第二次模拟考试英语试题答案

One possible version:
 Dear Brown,
Greetings from China! I am Li Hua, a high school student in China and will study in Clifton High School for two weeks during the summer vacation. I was excited to learn that your family would be my host family. I’d like to know more about my stay there in Britain.
First, am I going to have my own room or share one with you? And it would be great if I can have access to the Internet. In spite of my interest in British food, I’m wondering if I could cook some simple Chinese dishes just in case I’m not used to it. Besides, I’d like to know if there’s a school bus between your home and the school.
Looking forward to your reply.  (122 words)
Best wishes.
                                                                   Yours,
                                                                   Li Hua

听力录音原文
 (Text 1)
M: Have you moved into your new home yet, Tania?
W: Yes, but we spent three months in a hotel after we sold the old flat.
(Text 2)
M: Where have you been? I have been waiting for you for about half an hour.
W: I didn't get your phone call, so I just went upstairs to get some sleep. Now let’s go on with the report.
(Text 3)
W: You’ve got some amazing music posters on your wall, Jamie. I really love that one of the guitarist.
M: Yeah, it’s from a concert I went to with my elder brother.
 (Text 4)
W: Would you like to send this parcel by airmail or ordinary mail?
M: I’m sending my friend his birthday present and his birthday is in four days. So the sooner,  the better.
W: Send it by express mail. It’ll get to him in three days.
  (Text 5)
M: This ring has a style of the 19th century.
W: The main character in The Hills wore this kind of ring. But I don’t think it is to my taste.
M: Well, take a look at this CD player. A great bargain today only.
(Text 6)
W: Your aunt Petra tells me you’ve been working nonstop every day.
M: It’s true. Last Saturday, we were busy getting the specials ready when a tourist group showed up. We hadn’t even opened yet, but they would have gone somewhere else if we hadn’t let them in. Uncle Alonzo was running around screaming at the kitchen staff.
W: He must be afraid you’ll lose those customers.
M: Yes. And Aunt Petra was trying to calm him down. The waiters hadn’t arrived yet, so I went out to take the drink orders.
W: Had you ever waited tables before that?
M: No, I hadn’t.
(Text 7)
M: Excuse me! Where does the C73 to the city centre stop?
W: It doesn’t stop here.
M: But this is the bus station, isn’t it?
W: Yes, it is. Buses only go to other cities from the bus station. You want a bus stop, dear.
M: Where’s the right bus stop then? Do you know?
W: Yes, it’s next to the train station.
M: How can I get there?
W: Just walk straight ahead towards the river. Go over the bridge and turn right. Walk towards the shopping center. The train station will be on your right between the car park and the shopping center.
(Text 8)
M: Hi, Wanda. Did you have a good vacation?
W: Yeah, we had a great time. But I have to tell you the most amazing things happened!
M: Really? What was that?
W: Well, I was playing on the beach and a huge wave came along and knocked my sunglasses into the water. It was the expensive sunglasses Roy had given me for my birthday. Anyway, I had to have sunglasses, so I bought another cheap pair. The next day, I was lying on the beach, sunbathing. Then, suddenly another huge wave completely covered me. I was so wet and …
M: Are you sure this was a good vacation?
W: Yeah — but listen! When I looked down, there on the sand, right next to me, were my expensive sunglasses. I couldn’t believe my eyes!
(Text 9)
W: How can I help you?
M: My name is Karl Fischer. I have an interview at 2:00 with Mr. Welsch. I’m a little bit early.
W: Are you here for a job interview?
M: That’s right. Have you had a lot of interviews today?
W: Well, 8 in total, including you. I think actually that you are the last person Mr. Welsch is going to interview. Right now I need to have you fill out a few forms, if you don’t mind.
M: Oh, sure.
W: On this form, you need to put your name and address, as well as your telephone number. By the way, are you currently employed?
M: Yes, I am. I am currently at the university right now. I’m working on teaching materials development for the Department of English.
W: Well, it sounds like you are a good candidate for the job! Do you need a pen?
M: No, I have one. Can I just sit over there while I fill out these forms?
W: Yes, and I’ll let you know when Mr. Welsch is ready for you.
(Text 10)
W: This is Suzie Chu on Three Triple Campus Radio. I have the results of the entertainment survey we did last week with the students here at the university.
We went into the student union last Thursday, the twenty-fifth of March and interviewed a total of 150 students. 70% of the students we talked to said that they liked going out with friends more than anything else. I had expected them to say doing sports or listening to music or something like that. Next on the list … and I wasn’t surprised at all by this … was watching TV. Most students spent 15 hours a week doing that. Going to the cinema was pretty popular too and so was watching sports, but something that surprised me was that some students considered shopping to be entertainment. So what don’t students like doing? Well, although quite a lot of them like acting and even belong to the drama club, surprisingly enough going to the theater was not very popular at all. In fact, it came bottom of the list! Why? It could be because a lot of students really do have financial problems. Most students spent between £12 and £35 a week on entertainment and this represents about a quarter of their total budget.
